Matching Tamegroute pieces

A handmade ceramic bowl from Tamegroute, shaped and fired by skilled potters in southern Morocco. Each bowl features a distinctive green splatter glaze against exposed natural clay, creating an expressive contrast of deep green and earthy cream tones.

Every bowl is individually handmade and traditionally fired, resulting in organic glaze movement, subtle surface markings and variations that make each piece unique.

Beautiful as a decorative centrepiece on a dining table, kitchen island or coffee table, this rustic Moroccan bowl is also ideal for displaying dry foods or styling open shelving.

Best Suited for Dry Use

Due to the partially unglazed finish, these bowls are suitable for dry foods and decorative display only. Not suitable for liquids or wet foods.

  • Handmade Moroccan Tamegroute ceramic
  • Traditional green splatter glaze
  • Contrasting exposed natural clay
  • Individually shaped and traditionally fired
  • Each piece has unique glaze patterns and handmade characteristics
  • Suitable for decorative display and dry foods

Tamegroute bowls are stacked vertically during firing. Where pottery touches, minor glaze chips occur naturally. Where ash settles, it creates soft marks and colour variation. Where glaze runs, it pools unevenly and flows into exposed clay. The half-glazed splatter finish intensifies these variations—the ochre flows dramatically, the raw clay darkens in the kiln, each bowl emerges completely unique.

Each piece carries the story of the kiln and the fire. The variations in glaze depth, the chips at the rim, the contrast between glazed and raw clay, the asymmetry in the form—these are fingerprints of handmade pottery, not flaws. They prove a Moroccan artisan shaped this by hand and fired it using traditional methods that cannot be replicated by machines.

When you own Tamegroute pottery, you own durability and a piece that gets better with age.
