A handmade ceramic bowl from Tamegroute, shaped and fired by skilled potters in southern Morocco. Each bowl features a distinctive half-glazed design — deep green glaze that flows dramatically into exposed natural clay, creating a bold contrast unique to this region's pottery. Every bowl is shaped by hand from local mineral-rich clay, glazed by hand, then fired in underground wood-fired kilns using centuries-old techniques. No two bowls are identical.

Beautiful as a decorative centrepiece, a display piece for dried botanicals, bread, or seasonal styling—this bowl brings raw artisan character to any interior or retail space. Due to the partially unglazed raw clay finish, these bowls are best suited for dry use: fruit, bread, dried botanicals, nuts, grains, or decorative display. Built to last decades and gets better with age.

Best Suited for Dry Use

Due to the partially unglazed raw clay finish, these bowls are best suited for dry use — fruit, bread, dried botanicals, nuts, grains, or decorative display. Not recommended for liquids or wet foods. The exposed clay will absorb moisture if used with wet foods or liquids for extended periods.

Why the Chips and Marks Are Authentic

Tamegroute bowls are stacked vertically during firing. Where pottery touches, minor glaze chips occur naturally. Where ash settles, it creates soft marks and colour variation. Where glaze runs, it pools unevenly and flows into exposed clay. The half-glazed finish intensifies these variations—the green flows dramatically, the raw clay darkens in the kiln, each bowl emerges completely unique.

Each piece carries the story of the kiln and the fire. The variations in glaze depth, the chips at the rim, the contrast between glazed and raw clay, the asymmetry in the form—these are fingerprints of handmade pottery, not flaws. They prove a Moroccan artisan shaped this by hand and fired it using traditional methods that cannot be replicated by machines.

When you own Tamegroute pottery, you own durability and a piece that gets better with age.
