Why the Chips and Marks Are Authentic

Tamegroute plates are stacked vertically during firing. Where pottery touches, minor glaze chips occur naturally. Where ash settles, it creates soft marks and colour variation. Where glaze runs, it pools unevenly. This is the exact opposite of smooth, uniform ceramic production.

Each piece carries the story of the kiln and the fire. The variations in glaze depth, the chips at the rim or base, the asymmetry in the form—these are fingerprints of handmade pottery, not flaws.
