Authentic Tamegroute pottery pedestal bowl in warm ochre, handmade and wood-fired in Southern Morocco by skilled artisans. This is real handmade—not mass-produced. Every bowl is shaped by hand from local mineral-rich clay, then finished with Tamegroute's distinctive ochre glaze with natural charcoal markings and bronze undertones. Fired in underground wood-fired kilns using centuries-old techniques, the heat creates natural glaze movement and organic variations. No two bowls are identical.

The scalloped rim and raised pedestal base elevate this bowl from functional to sculptural—a piece that demands to be seen. Perfect as a centerpiece on dining tables, kitchen islands, or consoles, or displayed on shelves and mantels. Works beautifully for serving bread, fruit, or cold dishes (larger sizes). Hand wash recommended. Built to last decades.

Why the Chips and Marks Are Authentic

Tamegroute bowls are stacked vertically during firing. Where pottery touches, minor glaze chips occur naturally. Where ash settles, it creates soft marks and colour variation in the ochre tone. Where glaze runs, it pools unevenly. This is the exact opposite of smooth, uniform ceramic production.

Each piece carries the story of the kiln and the fire. The variations in glaze depth, the chips at the rim or base, the asymmetry in the form—these are fingerprints of handmade pottery, not flaws. They prove a Moroccan artisan shaped this by hand and fired it using traditional methods that cannot be replicated by machines.

When you own Tamegroute pottery, you own durability and a piece that gets better with age.
